☆ What's unusual about Japan?
Wow! There are so many things that are unusual or
strange about Japan. I think the shoes are incredibly
different here, especially shoes with big heels and
lots of bright colors, such as bright purple. One of
the first pair of shoes that caught me by surprise
were the snearkers - they had huge heels and tiny
roller skate wheels to skate with too! It was fun
trying them on.

Japan has such a wide variety of
shoes for everyone. But it is difficult to walk in
some of them. I think it's a good idea to have a wide
variety of shoes for people, because some people
like to look taller, and the big heels can help create
more height.
Caught me by surprise=My focus was on the shoes,
or the shoes made me look - got my attention!
Strange=This can be used as a negative meaning or
an interesting meaning. In this blog, it is used as an
interesting meaning.
Incredibly=Amazing, surprising.
Wide variety=Many types of shoes .
Please note that using 'caught me by surprise' can
also be used when seeing a person, or for anything
that makes you surprised and makes you look.
For example, the beautiful park caught me by surprise,
my friend's new car caught me by surprise, etc.
