☆ Very hungry guests

Sometimes when guests come to visit they eat
more than usual. Some guests are so hungry that
they eat you out of house and home. Have you
heard of that expression, 'eat you out of house
and home?' It literally means that where ever you
live the guest or guests will continue to eat until
there is no more food left.
In Japan you probably don't have this type of
trouble. Most people in Japan go to a restaurant to
meet their friends or family. But in other countries,
such as England, Canada, Europe, Australia and
America, guests come regularly to visit and eat at
people's homes.
When I was a child one of my male cousin's came to
stay during the summer holidays. He was a teenager
and he had a huge appetite! He ate one loaf of bread
and one packet of cereal for breakfast each day! It
was difficult to keep up with his hunger.
Have you had this kind of experience before? I think
it is funny, but may be some people may think it is rude
or strange.
