Trip to the Big Island 1
Christina

I've always enjoyed traveling to islands because
they are fun, full of adventure and have a little
mystery attached to them. The Big Island in
Hawaii is one of those incredible islands that
everyone should see. It has the famous black
sandy beaches, a beautiful waterfall called
Rainbow, tropical rainforests, sea turtles, and
endless ocean views that capture the heart.
Getting up at 3:15am to catch the bus to the
Honolulu airport was well worth the effort to
see the Big Island. We took a 30 minute plane
flight to the Big Island and landed at an airport
that looked like it was from space! The volcanic
rocks were everywhere and the craters
created around the airport looked like swirls of
rough black rocks. From the airport we started
our 12 hour tour with our tour guide named
'Cousin Val'. Cousin Val called all the passengers
on the bus 'cousins' because she wanted us to
feel like 'family' for the long tour around the island.
She was a local who really got us enthusiastic to
learn more about the native Hawaiian culture.
There were many people from the mainland of
America, some from Europe and only two from
Canada. Richard and I were the only Australians
on the bus and we were given a very warm
welcome from everyone.
incredible=信じられない程すばらしい

Christina
