Rainy days and Mondays
梅雨に入り、雨の日が多くなりました。
雨が降ったり、月曜日になると
気分が落ち込みますね・・・。

Everyone knows the famous Carpenters song sang
by Karen Carpenter about rainy days and Mondays,
and how they always get people 'down'. It seems
rainy days and Mondays still make some people
depressed. Japanese rainy season makes most
people unhappy. Nearly everyone dislikes the drop
in temperature and the strange change of hair style
it creates! Mondays have a similar affect on a lot of
people too. Some companies in western culture
have tried to change their employees schedule so
they don't have to work on any Monday of the year.
So many people complain about working on Mondays
that they take medicine to help them get through
the day - now that's incredible!
How do you feel about rainy weather and working on
Mondays? Does it ever make you feel sad or
disappointed? To be honest, I am happy about rain
and enjoy staying inside reading. I also enjoy working
and don't mind working on Mondays. Perhaps I'm the
exception to the rule.
get someone down=落ち込ませる
Depress=落ち込む
=extremely unhappy, a very dangerous state of the mind
To be honest=My real thoughts about something
雨が降った時は、少し気分が落ち込みますが、
窓を開けて、雨の音をじっと聞いてみてください。
水の音は気分が落ち着いてとてもリラックスします。
Christinaの言うように、雨の日は家でのんびりする
のも良いですね。
