The great escape

The best way to forget all your troubles and
worries is to venture off to Disneyland - at
least that's what the latest news reports
are telling all Japanese. Surprisingly, the
average Japanese is now taking time to
enjoy one of the oldest entertainment places
in Tokyo. Twenty five years ago Tokyo
Disneyland opened its doors to people for
the purpose of having fun, but it's difficult
to imagine it envisioned such a time as
this economic situation where people would
be escaping reality. Compared with all the
entertainment venues, Disneyland really is
the great escape. It has the positive music,
the upbeat characters dressed in disney
costumes, the variety of amusement rides,
food galore and beautiful souvenirs that
everybody loves. Instead of Disneyland
decreasing, it is experiencing an amazing
surge of visitors from all ages. So far, I've
visited Disneyland 12 times. There is no
doubt I'll be going again, as escaping from
reality is sometimes good, even if it's only
for a few hours. Having a Disneyland child-like
approach to life is healthy! And a great way
to escape the everyday world.
