Fireworks

８月は花火大会の時期ですね。
浴衣を着た女性を駅で見かけるようになりましたが、
皆様は今年、花火を見に行かれましたか？

Fireworks create a wonderful festive feeling
during the hot, sultry summer nights of Japan.
My very favorite fireworks show is in Tokyo Bay.
The designs and colors are fantastic. They are
by far the longest fireworks too. In past years,
I've visited the Ichikawa fireworks and found
them to be nice, but a little stressful due to
the crowds. This year while out exercising I
was lucky enough to see the fireworks near
my apartment! Unfortunately fireworks are
too dangerous to let off in Australia during
the summer season because of the potential
of bush fires (forest fires). So I am making
the most of it.
